WHOLENESS SISTER

My name is Nidhi Seth and I am a Clinical Herbalist, Traditional Birth Attendant, Postpartum Ayurvedic Doula. I started my journey as a medical student in Europe for 8 years. Having seen the in's and out's of the medical system, I left school in pursuit for alternative holistic methods of healing and connection back to authentic and ancestral wisdom and healing modalities. I came to the realization that the power to heal and push through adversity came down to the amount of hours of careful planning, education and support team present. Since leaving medical school, I began my own spiritual journey in search of knowledge to be reconnected to this divine miracle.

I started supporting women and families in holistic birth care as a Doula in 2017 and realised the impact that they have before, during, and after birth. How mother was made to feel during her pregnancy, the preperation and wisdom she holds, her belief ystem adn what kind of careful planning she would do to make her and her baby have the safest, most trauma-free birth possible. The mental, emotional, physical, phsyiological and spiritual support and knowldge she would get would influence her birth experience.

My first births were as a Birth Doula in hospital and birth centres across Ontario. I was especially concerned when I was involved in deliveries in medical school and many hospital births in Ontario and witnessed how little information most mothers were given and how little their birthing choices were taken into account. I felt the disconnection for the mother to be able to tap into her senses, instincts and bring her baby Earthside with safety and mindfulness. I witnessed many women experience trauma, coercion and repetative remarks of their inability to birth their baby the way they wanted.

It became my duty to be able to create a safe & protective space for the birthing mother and their family, and to make sure she is heard, informed and making decisions from a place of empowerment and understanding. This propelled me to support women and birthing families during the most important time in their lives even further as a Traditional Birth Attendant using

I knew there were many tools involved in creating a protective safe space, would allow families to feel like they were in charge of their journey. Helping them to advocate for their rights and know that they had choices. The nurturing and supporting component was so natural to me and I started to fall deeply in love with this beautiful journey.

My role has shifted from the role of a Home Birth doula to a Traditional  Birth Attendant  Uniquely tailoring their specification, and what is most important to them.  I combine my western medical intuition and insight along with my ancient knowledge to bring you the most balanced and conscious journey you will embark on. My goal is for you to know your rights as a women, your divine connection to spirit and the infinite power of your womb space. I support women in having a physiological birth experience outside the system and work with women who truly want something different from what they have been told about their bodies, babies and birth.
